Biografía

 

 

 

 

Organista, pianista y compositor aragonés, formado en sus diferentes disciplinas por grandes maestros como Jan Willem Jansen, Olivier Baumont, Anna Jastrzebska y Antón García Abril. Recientemente galardonado con el Premio Internacional de Composición ‘Cristóbal Halffter’, su actividad concertística se desarrolla por algunos de los más prestigiosos festivales nacionales e internacionales como los de Madrid, El Escorial, Sevilla, León, Oporto, Florencia, Palermo, Leuven, Leeds, Landsberg, Lugano, Gdańsk o el Cultural Centre de Hong-Kong.


Son frecuentes sus conferencias en lugares como el Instituto Cervantes de Bruselas, la Lund University de Malmø en Suecia o el Conservatorio Haydn de Eisenstadt en Austria. Miembro del comité organizador y artístico del Concurso Internacional de Piano ‘Antón García Abril’. Ha realizado grabaciones para Radio Nacional de España (Rne2) y para los sellos discográficos European Gramophone y Warner Classics.


Entre sus obras cabe destacar la Suite-Sonata para Piano ‘Hugo & Daniela’, grabada por el pianista internacional Brenno Ambrosini; música de cámara como ‘In Paradisum’, estrenada en el Zomerconcerten de Leuven en 2017, y recientemente llevada a grabación junto con el prestigioso trompetista Pacho Flores (Deutsche Grammophon Artist); y música coral y sinfónica como su ‘Crux Fidelis’ y ‘Alborada’, esta última recientemente estrenada en el Palau de la Música de Valencia.

 

Doctor en Historia por la Universidad de Valencia, Máster en investigación musical por la Universidad Internacional de La Rioja y Licenciado en Derecho por la UNED, actualmente, y desde hace diez años, ejerce como Catedrático de Órgano del Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Joaquín Rodrigo’ de Valencia y como Coordinador de diversos ciclos y festivales de órgano en Valencia y Aragón. Es profesor de piano del Instituto de Artes Musicales de Valencia, organista en el Órgano Monumental Cabanilles de la Basílica del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de Valencia y miembro del Consejo Científico del Instituto de Estudios Turolenses (CSIC).

Aragonese organist, pianist and composer, trained in different disciplines by great masters such as Jan Willem Jansen, Olivier Baumont, Anna Jastrzebska and Antón García Abril. Recently awarded the 'Cristóbal Halffter' International Prize Composition, his concert activity is carried out in some of the most prestigious international festivals such as Madrid, El Escorial, Sevilla, León, Oporto, Firenze, Palermo, Leuven, Leeds, Landsberg, Lugano, Gdańsk or Cultural Centre in Hong-Kong.


His lectures are frequent at the Cervantes Institute in Brussels, the Lund University in Malmø (Sweden) and the Franz Joseph Haydn Konservatorium in Eisenstadt (Austria). He is also member of the artistic committee of the ‘Antón García Abril’ International Piano Competition. He has recorded several works for Radio Nacional de España (Rne2), European Gramophone and Warner Classics.


Among his works it is highlight his Suite-Sonata for piano ‘Hugo & Daniela’, recorded by the international pianist Brenno Ambrosini; chamber music such as ‘In Paradisum’, which was released in the Zommerconcerten 2017 in Leuven, and recently recorded together with the prestigious trumpetist Pacho Flores (Deutsche Grammophon Artist); and choral/symphonic music such as his ‘Crux Fidelis’ and ‘Alborada’, that was recently first time performed at the Palau de la Música in Valencia.


He holds a Doctor in History in Valencia University, a master’s degree in musical research in the International University of La Rioja and Law Degree in UNED. For ten years, he holds the position of Organ Professor at the ‘Joaquín Rodrigo’ Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia. He is the Organist at the Cabanilles Monumental Organ in the ’Sacred Heart’ Church in Valencia, Piano Professor at IAMV and the Coordinator of some organ festivals in Valencia and Aragón. Finally, he is also Scientific Council member of the IET (CSIC).
